22 Loggerhead turtles hatch from unreported nest in Ramla l-Ħamra
The Ramla hatchlings are the first turtle hatchlings to be reported in 2021 so far, following a record-breaking number of turtle eggs that hatched the previous year.
Nature Trust Malta were informed about the discovery by members of the public.

Malta hits 800,000 vaccine doses as Chris Fearne announces change of focus for daily Saħħa updates
Health Minister Chris Fearne has announced that the daily Saħħa COVID-19 infographics will start placing main emphasis on COVID-19 hospitalizations and ITU admissions.
A significant amount of information was dropped from the new bulletin format, including the number of swab tests administered, how many people are fully vaccinated, and the total number of cases and recoveries.

No more “ladies and gentlemen”: Air Malta will start using gender neutral language
Employees will use words such as “guests” and other generic terms instead of gender-specific ones that could alienate guests who are nonbinary.
In an internal memo to employees, Air Malta executive David Curmi said the new rules apply when addressing customers, both in air and on the tarmac.

New school protocols for Malta announced: vaccine not mandatory and virtual lessons not excluded
Education Minister Justyne Caruana announced that vaccines against the COVID-19 virus will not be mandatory for students or staff.
Furthermore, virtual lessons are not being excluded, and practical lessons such as PE as well as fieldwork and lab work are set to be permitted with social bubbles. Equipment must be sanitised regularly.
