At least 120 people have died and hundreds more in western Europe are unaccounted for after some of the worst flooding in decades.

Record rainfall caused rivers to burst their banks, devastating the region.

The Union of Professional Educators (UPE) tells political candidate to stop pretending to be a teacher after offering free maths lessons

 

A teachers’ union has called out PL candidate Audrey Demicoli for “pretending to be a teacher” by offering free private benchmark maths lessons for Year 6 and Form 1 students. UPE said a recent Facebook post by Demicoli, an architect, which says the lessons will be held on Saturdays at four PL każini, is an insult to all professional educators. Do you agree with this?

Malta on EU’s Travel Red List after recent COVID-19 spike

 

Malta has been put on the EU’s travel red list amid a spike in Covid-19 cases.

A map by the European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control (ECDC) that is updated weekly has put Malta in the red zone.

EU Court has ruled that employers can ban hijabs at the workplace

 

The EU’S top court ruled that private companies can prohibit employees from wearing hijabs at work.

The judgement from the Court of Justice of the European Union declared that companies could restrict employees from wearing religious symbols as part of a broad ban on “any visible form of expression of political, philosophical or religious beliefs in the workplace”.
