While many are not free to attend, you will still be amazed by other events such as local festas, festivals and even some music events that take place for free across the Islands.
You can also opt to go to the sea to unwind under the Mediterranean sun.
Stay in a hostel or guest house
This is by far the cheapest way to stay in Malta.
There are plenty of great hostels and guesthouses to choose from, and you'll be sure to meet other budget-minded travelers.
Use public transport
Public transportation in Malta is cheap and for the most part, efficient, so there's no need to rent a car if you're on a budget.
Keep in mind to check for what kind of bus tickets you would be needing and also taking a look at the bus schedules.
Visit during off-peak season
Malta is a popular tourist destination, so prices are higher during the peak season (mainly between June and August).
If you're on a budget, consider visiting during the off-peak season such as in September or in May, when prices are usually lower.
