
Ah, COVID-19… the newest challenge that has been affecting all our lives for at least the past 2 years. If you’re lucky, you’ve never encountered the virus. Unfortunately, I was not so lucky.
So I compiled a list of my favourite foods to munch on while I was sick and locked inside!
We must start with the healthy stuff - Fruit.
A bunch of it. Believe me, when you’re sick, the last thing I felt like doing was cooking.
That’s why I kept the fridge stocked with an assortment of different fruits:
Blueberries
They’re easy, they’re quick, they’re tasty.
I don’t think I need to explain myself any further.


Apples
The good old-fashioned staple, everyone knows that ‘an apple a day keeps the doctor away’.
So, say no more Doc, I recommend taking one for breakfast.
Oranges
Not everyone likes oranges, but believe me you will be grateful for the rich vitamin C contents here.
So if you don’t want to eat them, juice them.

You’ve been good, you’ve taken your ‘5 a day’, but now you wish to satisfy your guilty pleasures.
We’ll now be seeing my go-to, admittedly unhealthy choice of foods during this quarantine period:

Instant Noodles
Yes, instant noodles. These were my lifeline while in quarantine.
Nothing made me feel better than a hot bowl of noodles and some warm broth to go with it.
Chicken Nuggets
The faithful chicken nugget, it never lets you down.
They’re quick to make in the oven or even microwave, they fill you up and they taste pretty darn good.
So, a win all around.


Toast
Make it with ham and cheese, jam, tuna, egg, whatever it is you like to enjoy your toast with.
This classic will keep you sated for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
These were just a few culinary choices to eat while in quarantine (because believe me I ate a lot more).
