Top 10 Anticipated Movies of 2021

2021 has been weird and difficult for everyone, with the movie industry also being hit hard. With tons of delays and reshuffles, the 2021 movie lineup has been changing constantly.

Apart from all this, 2021 has already been a great year for movies so far with movies such as Cruella and Godzilla vs Kong already releasing.

Even though more than half of the year is over, there are many more cinematic experiences left to look forward to.

Set in an outpost of an American newspaper, from the beautiful mind of Wes Anderson and led by a stunning ensemble cast consisting of Bill Murray, Timothée Chalamet, Willem Dafoe, Christoph Waltz and recent Oscar winner, Frances McDormand, French Dispatch looks to be this year’s sleeper hit.

Modern visionary Denis Villeneuve will bring the 1965 science-fiction novel to the big screen and HBO’s streaming service.

It will be the first part of a two-part adaptation, covering roughly the first half of the book.

With a huge ensemble cast with names like Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin and Zendaya, this movie will surely be a hit with both the audience and critics alike.

Be sure to not get too attached to any of the characters as odds are that most of them will not survive to the end of the movie.

Finally after making her debut back in 2010’s Iron Man 2, Black Widow finally will have her long-awaited solo adventure.

Set between Captain American: Civil War and Avengers: Infinity War, Scarlett Johansson will finally star as the lead of her own movie.

It’s been over a year since the last movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and fans won’t have to wait much more as Black Widow will drop soon, next July. 



F9 (Fast and Furious 9)

The ninth instalment of the main line Fast and Furious saga will see fan favourites Dom, Letty, Han and more finally return after the 4-year gap since the eight movie.

Joining them this time as they up the stakes once again will be fan favourite John Cena, playing Dom’s younger brother Jakob. F9 was originally slated to release back in April 2019, but the long wait seems to surely be worth it by the end as the Fast and Furious family will return soon.

Another highly anticipated movie plagued by delays due to the pandemic, No Time to Die will be Daniel Craig’s fifth and final outing as MI6 agent James Bond.

This movie will mark the 25th instalment in the everlasting James Bond series that started way back in the 1960’s.

The stakes are high as our favourite British spy will face a terrorist seeking revenge played by Academy Award winner Rami Malek.

Tom Holland will suit up for the sixth time as the webslinger in what surely seems to be one of, if not the biggest movie of 2021.
