Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, people have been looking for new ways to entertain themselves.
Some turned to books, others started new hobbies, but most decided to start binging on any series they could get their hands on.
I was one of those people.
Over the span of two lockdowns, I went through my anime watchlist and binged anything that fell into my lap.
And now, I would like to put my hours worth of watch-time to use by sharing some of my favourites.
So without further ado, I’d like to introduce the star anime of this article:
This anime is a clumsy love story that centres around two Otakus, two individuals that are obsessed with their individual hobbies. Throughout this show, we see how the main characters, Narumi and Hirotaka, stumble around the obstacles of a relationship.
Both characters are geekish and so lost in their obsessions that they become awkward and skittish when faced with being in a relationship.
They aren’t the only otaku couple in the show however, we also follow the relationship of Tarõ and Hanako.
This veteran couple acts as mentors to the young duo, showing them that even geeks can have a happy relationship if they are interested in each other’s hobbies.
Overall this anime is sweet and will make you giggle as you watch the couples flounder around the world, trying to conceal their passion for all things nerdy.
You will swoon over characters, relate to others, you will root for couples and be kept on the edge of your seat with curiosity. This anime will definitely capture your attention and you’ll have no choice but to fall into its warm embrace.
The show isn’t long, having only 11 episodes, but each one is jam-packed with jokes that will make you snicker as you identify with the characters on screen.
