UPDATED: Uni Graduations in full swing! Here are some details…

University of Malta Graduations

Finally they’re back, but with a difference! We’re referring to the University of Malta’s yearly graduation ceremonies, of course!

Students who were supposed to graduate last year but didn’t have the opportunity to do so due to the COVID-19 pandemic, have joined the newly grads of 2021 in an extraordinary celebration on University grounds.

In fact, this year the Campus will see a total of over 4,400+ graduating students from classes of 2020 and 2021, with ceremonies having started on Monday 15 November and will run all the way till Thursday 2 December.

As previously reported on Toppin’ Up, the University of Malta has prepared a special venue for guests of those graduating where social distancing can be respected.

A live link from the Sir Temi Zammit Hall, which is the place where such an event usually takes place, will be shown to the seated guests.

The special guests venue, located in an area called ‘Upper Car Park 6’, includes 3 marquees (A, B and C) where seating rows of up to 3 persons per group are placed accordingly in front of a mega screen… and when we say mega screen, we mean it!

A 5 by 3 metre LED screen (~230 inches), LED screen, which many would have rather sat down in front of to view Italy’s winning penalties of this year’s EURO 2020 - sorry England fans, has been installed in each marquee.

Moreover, those who have relatives living abroad or for some reason cannot make it to the event can for the very first time view the proceedings by sharing the live stream made available on the University’s Facebook, LinkedIn and YouTube Pages. Update: We're linking the official playlist here. See if you can spot yourself or a friend 😉

We would like to give our best wishes to all students graduating!

Will you be graduating this year or know someone who will?

Congratulate them by tagging them on our socials!
