The sun, the sea, the flow of tourists…
This is a characteristic of the Maltese Islands during some of the busiest times of the year.
However, tourism is more than just that!
Beyond the summer months, Malta enjoys a flow of tourists during other parts of the year, as well as various sectors need to work hand in hand to provide a holistic experience to those visiting. This entails that the tourism industry needs to be in tip top shape, 365 days a year!
The Institute for Tourism, Travel & Culture at the University of Malta is offering a course in Tourism Studies which will give an interdisciplinary and sound education in this area. The skills and knowledge that are required to help shape the future leaders in this service area is at the heart of this 3 year course at Bachelor’s Degree level.
But you might ask…
"What can I do with this degree?"
The course will push its students to achieve various roles in the industry such as Event Organiser, Cultural Programme Manager, Tour Manager, Marketing Executive, Sales Manager, Travel Consultant and much more!
Opportunities for students of this course to go experience studying abroad will also be provided via the Erasmus exchange network.
That’s not all!
Prospective students wishing to enrol in furthering their knowledge and skills in the tourism sector are also welcome to join the Tourism Students Association (TSA) whereby representatives from the association can help guide them through their studies by answering various questions and assisting with issues related to their time at University.
Those interested can join the TSA by sending an email. Make sure to follow their socials for more information about the services offered and events organised!
