My oh my do I have a review for you my fellow fantasy book enthusiasts.
When I picked up “The Queen of Nothing” I didn’t think it was too impressive but boy was I wrong!
“The Queen of Nothing” is the third book in “The Folk of the Air” series by Holly Black (I have already reviewed the first two books: The Cruel Prince and The Wicked King).
Before I get to the actual details of this story and how it turned my whole world upside down, I’d like to remind everyone of the system I use when reviewing books:

Now with that out of the way let’s talk about the rollercoaster of emotions that I experienced while reading this book!
To say Holly Black is the “Faerie Queen” (as said by Victoria Aveyard) feels like an apt comparison to me. The way she skillfully crafts spider-thread plot lines and weaves them together is nothing short of magical!
As a reader, I always pride myself on being able to sniff out plot twists from miles away and this was no different. But despite already having guessed how things were going to end I was still bouncing off the walls when it happened. Black has a way of writing that draws you in, grabs a hold of your heart, and refuses to let you go until you’ve turned the very last page.
I’m never one to shower a book in praise without pointing out its flaws, however, and though there are some flaws, they all seem to fade away after finishing this story. It left me feeling so perfectly satisfied, with an indulgent ending to cap off all the glorious drama hidden among the pages.
This was truly a captivating story, so much so that once I got into it, I finished the entire book in a single sitting! In all the series I have read so far I do not recall one that has left me feeling so content by the end.

The best part is that this isn’t even the end of the series!
The next book is called “How The King of Elphame Learned To Hate Stories” and it seems to be a collection of short stories revolving around the characters that people everywhere have come to love!
